The Essener Rauten are small salmiak pastilles in the shape of a lozenge/rhombus, which are spicy and strong in taste and very firm in consistency. The diamonds are ideal for fresh breath and are always a tightly closed companion in their cardboard box.
Did you know: Salmiak is considered a remedy that is traditionally used to treat sore throats. In addition, ammonia salt has a disinfecting effect, as it lowers the pH value of the saliva and thus kills bacteria.
